Distinctly Pawsome provides a specialist pet wedding chaperone service to ensure everyone that is special to you can be there to celebrate your big day…including your furry sidekick!
Distinctly Pawsome recognises that our dogs are a part of the family, so it is essential for them to be present on your special day to create lasting memories with you. At the same time, it’s important to have someone who can ensure they are well cared for and encouraged to be the perfect wedding guest.
Whether you would like them to be a Ring Bearer, a Dog of Honour, a special surprise guest or just pop along for enchanting photographic moment, Distinctly Pawsome can accompany them and ensure their needs are met without having to rely on other wedding guests.
Your furry sidekick will be given a 30 minute walk or playtime to ensure they are relaxed ahead of meeting your photographer and guests. They will be dressed in the wedding attire you have chosen for them and chauffeured to your wedding location for a mutually agreed time ready for those all important photos. We will work with the venue staff and photographer to ensure that you have all the best photo opportunities.
Playing a main role in your wedding as ring bearer or key member of the wedding party requires a little more time and preparation. We will ensure that a longer walk or playtime is provided ahead of time and then your furry sidekick will be ready for their starring role. We will make sure they are presented at their best and are on hand to help them walk down the aisle and be by your side for the ceremony and / or photographs as you desire.
As a core member of your family, your furry sidekick will be by your side from before the ceremony until the dancing commences. We’ll chaperone from wedding preparations, through the ceremony in whatever role you desire, for all the photographs, including golden hour and for mingling with the guests. We will provide walks and play before and during the day as appropriate and ensure that your furry sidekick is looking spic and span throughout.

From pre-wedding arrangements and transportation to coordinating with photographers and other suppliers on the big day, as well as helping your pet relax and unwind afterward, we’ve got you covered. Think of us as their butler for the day and possibly into the evening. We offer a variety of packages to ensure that both your needs and those of your furry sidekick are fully met.

Amanda took care of our pug, Peggy-Sue, for a week while we were on holiday, and we couldn’t have been more at ease. She stayed in our home, and it was such a relief knowing that not only was our beloved dog in great hands, but our home was also being looked after by someone we trusted completely. Having known Amanda already, I had no hesitation in booking her. However, I’m confident that even if you’re meeting her for the first time, you’ll immediately feel at ease—and so will your dog! Peggy-Sue adored her, and when we returned, it was as if we had never left. She was content, happy, and completely at peace. Amanda also took great care of our home, leaving it just as we had left it. You wouldn’t have even known anyone had stayed. Honestly, I’m a bit hesitant to share this because I’d love to keep Amanda as our little secret! Finding someone you can trust with your dogs, who are like family, is truly amazing. Amanda pet sat for our family animals, one dog and 4 cats over Christmas and New Year 2023/24. She visited before the 10 day stay to meet the animals and establish their needs and idiosyncrasies! Everyday on the home sit she kept us updated on life at home and many reassuring photos of the dog and cats. She treated Bosie our very needy 9 year old (&45kg) Beauceron like her own and together they became the best of friends. Amanda was professional with her dog walking and carried out all duties with such care and consideration. Upon our arrival home, the house was immaculate and animals in great form. We’ve booked again for 2024/25! Amanda was literally the best we’ve ever had to look after our precious pets.
Claire has looked after my precious dog Emi, many many times as I have to work in London on a regular basis. Emi loves her being around. She is very much a ‘dog person’ which is obvious as soon as Emi see her. She really looks forward to her time with her and Claire treats her as though she is her own. I sometimes think she prefers to be with her, rather than me!! Claire is completely trustworthy and always can be relied upon. She goes out of her way to make sure Emi’s every need is cared for.
I would highly recommend Distinctly Pawsome in the service of pet chaperoning and pet sitting. Being a very experienced dog owner, carer and trainer she has a deep affection for dogs and has a natural ability to intuitively understand their individual needs. Monty is a highly energetic Working Cocker spaniel (part hippo due to his love of muddy puddles) who absolutely loves Amanda’s company. We have used Distinctly Pawsome on several occasions and always go away safe in the knowledge that Monty’s every need will be taken care of as will our house, which is always spotless upon our return.
I would recommend Distinctly Pawsome to absolutely anyone how wanted their dog well cared for. I wouldn’t leave Margot with anyone else. I think Amanda loves dogs more than humans…and it shows as soon as you see her with your dog. She mixes living care with the right amount of discipline. Margot can be trying at time, but she turns to attention when Amanda turns up. Margot adores her! I always go on holiday safe in the knowledge that Distinctly Pawsome is there, looking after both my home and my Margot. She is Super Nanny for dogs!!!
From our very first meeting with Amanda we absolutely knew our Boys would be so well looked after, treating them like her own dogs! They instantly bonded & we could see how they adored her! We have used several dog sitters over the years & I can honestly say I've never felt more at ease leaving my boys than now, with Amanda. Both our dogs have various conditions, so we've always felt super anxious leaving them, but we know Amanda would notice anything not right or unusual & let us know, then she would take over the care or trip to the vets if needed. She sends us regular updates & photos when we are away from them & we can honestly tell you, our Boys always look so happy (like only their owners can tell!) I was super excited to hear Amanda is expanding her services, so more dogs can receive her excellent care & attention, but one problem for us, we'll need to book well in advance now!! We are so grateful to Amanda, she is not only a wonderful dog sitter, but a wonderful lady too.
My dog Duke adores Amanda and if he’s heading off out on a walk with her, he waits excitedly at the front door knowing what the time ahead holds. I also use Distinctly Pawsome to housesit Duke whilst I am away and he has a fabulous time. They are fantastic with communication, really friendly and clearly adore all dogs. I receive daily photos and updates showing me what they’ve been up to which is lovely. Distinctly Pawsome is professional in every manner you expect and most importantly, incredibly trustworthy. I have known Amanda for a while now and I would not hesitate to have Distinctly Pawsome looking after my dogs. She has stayed at my house on numerous occasions while I’ve been on holiday. I do not hesitate to use Amanda as a pet sitter as she looks after my dogs like her own. We used Amanda for our wedding flowers and we were extremely happy with them on the day as she delivered exactly what we wanted after one consultation. So we were delighted when we found out that she looked after dogs too, especially as she was local to us. We have used Distinctly Pawsome to look after our three Springer Spaniels whilst we were on holiday and their attention to detail is amazing. They came over before the holiday for a thorough briefing on food times, treats, walks, vets etc and then gave us updates the whole time we were away. Hi there! We’re Amanda and Claire, and we are Distinctly Pawsome!
We initially crossed paths many years ago while showcasing our floristry business at a wedding fair. As our shared passion for flowers fostered a friendship, we began working together. After numerous weddings and a few glasses of wine, we discovered our mutual love for animals, and I think it’s fair to say that we both have a greater fondness for animals than for people!
During the lockdown, Amanda began establishing a second business focused on dog walking and pet sitting. During her busy times, she enlisted Claire’s help, and from there, the business has expanded significantly.
And that’s how Distinctly Pawsome came to be!
